Geoinformation system VIA REGIA – Cycling Trail Thuringia/ D - Kraków (Malopolskie/ PL)

The goal of the project is the interconnection of regional cycleways within the traffic corridor ED C III “VIA REGIA” in Germany and Poland in order to build a joint international cycling trail VIA REGIA. It will be presented in a separate webportal as new innovative touristical offer for a broad public and will be published inside the VIA REGIA knowledge, information and service portal www.via-regia.org. Information for cyclists like trail routes, sign posting and bicycle garages will be given aside with historical information about the road, its sights and cultural offers as well as information concerning gastronomy and accommodation. Main focus is on elements concerning bicycle tourism, city tourism and cultural tourism.
